PROGRAM / PROJECT MANAGEMENT
PSI offers general program/project management services applicable to all disciplines, such as Scheduling, Cost Analysis, Earned Value, Project Risk Management, Value Engineering, and Training. PSI has several employees who have served in program management and project management roles in support of U.S. Department of Energy projects. Their experience includes fiscal planning and budgeting, feasibility an conceptual studies, life cycle analysis, project oversight, project analysis and control, change control, and project close-out.
The PSI staff includes a Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 15 years Project Management experience at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PORTS) with responsibility for the Project Management, Project Planning, Analysis and Construction Engineering organizations. This experience includes Project Manager of Environmental Control and Waste Management projects that brought PORTS into compliance with the Control of Water Pollution Act of 1976, Toxic Substances Control Act, and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. This PMP has managed and controlled an annual project budget in excess of $25 million for the U.S. Department of Energy.
In support of the project management staff, PSI has staff members experienced with interactions with a Congressional staffer, DOE HQ, Federal, State and Local Site Regulators. The PSI staff includes a former senior Congressional staffer that has experience on a Senate committee and as personal assistant for two different members of the House of Representatives. This experience includes serving as the principle advisor for several issues, including energy and transportation. This member of the staff has extensive background in researching legislation, governmental Department and Agency requests and performing information queries, all delivered with prompt response times. In addition, the experience included constituent grant requests and tracking the Congressman’s appropriation priorities as they made their way through the legislative process. PSI staff has vast experience in working with the stake holder, government officials and the general public.
PSI Project Managers have the requisite tool, knowledge, education and experience to implement and manage very complex and multi-disciplined projects. Our technical support team has accrued many years of valuable experience supporting federal government and an assortment of private industry groups. The keys to effective program management are organization, great communication, and flexibility to meet the goals. Our team has demonstrated these attributes in the past and accomplished goals that many did not believe achievable.
